Sarah is a 6 month old Lab mix who has a severe 'Cardiac Murmur' - aka: Heart Murmur. The medical experts classify these murmurs on a scale of 1-6 with 6 being life-threatening/severe. Poor puppy Sarah's murmur is a 5/6. She's healthy for now but will not live past 12 months of age unless she has surgery. We have been given an estimate of $3,000-$5,000 for our veterinarian to perform a "Balloon Valvuloplasty" which will extend her life for MANY more years and barring any unforeseen other issues she will live a long and happy normal life!

Sarah came to us as a newborn pup. Her mom was a very scared stray running in the busy streets of Phoenix, AZ. A very kind citizen made several phone calls to a number of rescue groups in town only to be turned away...This kind woman was finally able to trap mama dog (Chelsea) who had just given birth to 8 puppies....all of them are very healthy and have since found wonderful new homes...Once we learned of Sarah's heart condition we put her adoptive status on hold...It's very important that Sarah have this life-saving surgery!
